HexArmor Hires 30-Year Safety Industry Veteran To Manage Europe Expansion

GRAND RAPIDS, MI When Graham Ayers heard that HexArmor® planned to launch their line of cut, puncture, and needle resistant products in the European market, it didn’t take long for him to come aboard. Ayers comments, “it’s not everyday that an opportunity comes along like this; HexArmor’s products have unparalleled performance in a wide variety of industries. The potential for growth in Europe is incredible, and I believe that HexArmor will very quickly become a real force in the European market with their answers to the cut and puncture resistant problems that are becoming increasingly difficult to solve”.

Steve VanErmen, HexArmor’s President and CEO added, “Europe has always been on our radar, but up until now, we were not ready to make the move. I am excited to bring our great products and Graham’s expertise and industry knowledge to our European customers. We have already begun work with several EU customers and so far the results are very positive”.

Ayers, based in the UK, has been in the safety business for an impressive 30 years. For the past 20 years, Ayers has been working for a number of different American and European Industrial Glove Manufacturers.

Ayers started his career in the Personal Protective Equipment industry as a sales representative for a UK distributor, and then spent 6 years as a UK territory manager with Comesec, before moving to Golden Needles UK operation. Ayers then worked for Semperit, establishing the company’s operation into the UK.

In 1996, Ayers accepted the position of Area Sales Manager with Best Manufacturing Europe. Working out of the European HQ in Belgium, Ayers was responsible for the UK and Irish markets. In 1998, he was given a more pan Europe role with emphasis on continued development of the distributor network. This position led to a promotion to European Sales Manager, which included all aspects of running a sales team on a Europe wide basis.

HexArmor develops and manufactures over 50 highly cut and puncture resistant products for many markets including the industrial, law enforcement, public works, research, waste management and recycling markets.
