Traditional woven fabrics offer very little protection from needlesticks. Think about the fibers in a cut-resistant glove as a grid with small gaps between the rows. The gaps in the rows are risk areas for needlesticks, as the cutting edge of a needle will easily puncture through the weave and reach the skin surface. HexArmor combats needlesticks with tiny hard guard plates that will arrest, trap, and block the needle, and with three layers of SuperFabric® material, the needle has very little chance of reaching the skin surface.
