The issue
A welder at an aviation plant was working with a piece of steel when the material slipped. As the welder reflexively grabbed hold to prevent the steel from falling onto another employee, the steel dug into the gloves’ palm, cutting the outer shell.
The solution and result
Luckily, the worker was wearing our HeatArmor® 5050, and the glove did its job. Though the glove received a nice cut to the palm, the steel did not penetrate through the cut liner. This caused a minor injury instead of a major recordable.
