If you wear or sell Helix® gloves, you may start noticing something different on the back of the hand: a new badge.
We're transitioning most Helix® products from heat-transfer badges to screen-printed badges. It's a small visual change, but it addresses a real-world concern we've heard from customers and gives the badge a more durable way to stay on the glove.
The important part? The glove itself isn't changing. You still get the same materials, protection, performance ratings, and features you expect from Helix®. We're simply improving how the glove is identified.
Here's what's changing, why we made the switch, and what to expect as the transition rolls out.
What's changing on Helix® gloves?
The badge on the back of the hand is transitioning from a heat-transfer application to a screen-printed application.
Heat-transfer badges are applied to the surface of the glove using heat and pressure. While this method has served the Helix® line well, we've heard feedback that portions of the badge could loosen, peel, or flake over time in certain working environments.
The new screen-printed badge is applied directly to the glove material, creating a more durable identification mark designed to better withstand the demands of everyday use.
It's a small change you can see. But it's one we're making with a bigger goal in mind: making Helix® gloves work better in the environments they're designed for.

Why did we change the back-of-hand badge?
Gloves don't live an easy life.
They're exposed to constant movement, friction, abrasion, moisture, dirt, oils, and whatever else the job throws at them. Over time, those conditions can take a toll on more than the glove itself.
We heard from customers that pieces of the original heat-transfer badge could come loose or flake off in certain environments. In some applications, particularly those with strict cleanliness or contamination-control requirements, loose badge material can be more than a cosmetic concern.
That's where the new screen-printed badge comes in.
Because the print is applied directly to the glove material, there are fewer opportunities for the badge to separate from the glove. The result is a more durable way to identify the glove without adding another layer that can peel or flake away.
In other words: we're improving the badge, not changing the glove.
What isn't changing?
This update doesn't change the glove's construction, protection, or performance specifications.
The following remain the same:
- Glove materials
- Protective technologies
- Cut, puncture, abrasion, and other applicable performance ratings
- Grip and dexterity
- Fit and feel
- Product specifications
- Intended applications
If you're already using a Helix® glove, you don't need to change how you select, wear, or use it because of the badge update.
The biggest difference you'll notice is simply what's printed on the back of the hand.
Which Helix® gloves are getting the new badge?
Most Helix® gloves are moving to the updated screen-printed badge.
There is one key exception:
Fully coated nitrile and latex gloves will continue using the heat-transfer badge.
The coating on these gloves makes the heat-transfer application a better fit, and these badges aren't subject to the same flaking concern we've addressed with the rest of the line.
For all other Helix® gloves, the new screen-printed badge will be phased in as existing inventory sells through.
Not sure which badge your gloves have?
The easiest way to tell is to look at the back of the hand. During the transition, you may see either the original heat-transfer badge or the new screen-printed badge depending on when and where the gloves were manufactured.
Both versions are legitimate Helix® products.
When will the new badge appear?
The transition begins in Fall 2026 and will roll out across the Helix® line over time.
Because the timing depends on existing inventory, production schedules, and product sell-through, the transition will not happen all at once. Expect the changeover to take roughly two to six months per product, although some products may take longer.
Gloves currently in production are already shipping with the new badge.
That means you may receive one shipment with the original badge and a later shipment with the updated badge. That's expected.
You haven't received a different glove. You haven't received an outdated version. You're simply seeing the Helix® badge transition happen in real time.
What does this mean for distributors and customers?
For distributors, the transition may mean seeing two badge versions of the same Helix® product in inventory during the sell-through period.
For end users, the change is even simpler: keep using your gloves as you normally would.
If the glove has the Helix® name on it and the product information matches what you ordered, the badge style doesn't indicate a difference in protection or performance.
Product pages and specification sheets for affected gloves will also be updated with a callout noting that the badge may vary during the transition.
A small change, made for a reason
At HexArmor®, we're always looking for ways to make our products perform better in the real-world conditions where they're used.
Sometimes that means developing a new protective technology. Sometimes it means refining a material or construction. And sometimes, it's a seemingly small detail like the badge on the back of a glove.
The new Helix® screen-printed badge is one of those details.
Same Helix® glove. Same trusted protection. A more durable way to identify it.
As the transition continues through 2026, don't be surprised if you see both badge styles in the field. The glove underneath is still the Helix® you know.
