Frequently asked questions

Why did HexArmor® get into footwear?

The short answer: to solve problems for our customers. Innovation is in our DNA, so when a customer came to us needing an asphalt-specific boot because nothing existed in the market, we thought “we can do that.” And we made it happen. After that, we started seeing more opportunities to deliver safety boot styles with high-level, premium safety and comfort… so here we are. All to deliver on our head-to-toe safety promise of helping send every worker home safe, every day.

What’s the difference between work boots and safety boots?

Work boots are designed for general workplace durability and comfort but do not always include built-in safety features like toe protection, whereas safety boots should meet additional safety standards and provide additional protection. Safety boots by a safety company like HexArmor® are even more robust with high-performance, worker-driven features.

What size work boots does HexArmor® offer?

Depending on the safety boot, we offer as low as size 5 in our Xtend™ women-specific boot and up to size 15.5 in our Xbase™ series. Reference the specific product to find the size availability.

How should my work boots fit?

A work boot should fit snugly around the heel and midfoot without pinching the toes and allow about a thumb’s width of space at the toe for comfort and natural movement. A secure fit with proper arch support prevents blisters, fatigue, and discomfort.

How do I clean my safety boots?

Remove dirt and debris with a soft brush and wipe them down with a damp cloth and mild soap. Let boots air dry in a well-ventilated area, avoiding direct heat sources like heaters or dryers.
